Steven Carl McCasland's critically acclaimed play Little Wars will make its international debut this April, when it receives its Bermuda premiere production at The Bermuda Musical and Dramatic Society. The acclaimed play recently enjoyed a sold-out run at New York's Clarion Theatre. Casting for the Bermuda premiere is currently underway and will be announced shortly.

In Little Wars, it's France, 1940. Tensions are high, the booze is flowing, war is coming. Inspired by one of the literary world's most famous feuds, Steven Carl McCasland's imagines a riotous dinner party with Lillian Hellman, Gertrude Stein, Dorothy Parker, Alice B. Toklas, Agatha Christie and one mysterious guest who will change their lives forever. Together, they drink, scoff and face their demons. The play has been called "profound" by Times Square Chronicles, and "interesting, intriguing and well-made" by TheatrePizzazz.

Since 1945, Bermuda Musical and Dramatic Society has been a magnet to those who enjoy music and drama. Whether as performers, technicians, or an audience, members have found BMDS to be the home of amateur theatre in Bermuda. Dedicated to putting on good music and drama and bringing it to the widest possible audience, BMDS relies heavily on the voluntary efforts of its members. With the benefit of its own bar and premises, it should be no surprise that the Society has an active programme of social events.
