Salty Brine proudly announces the premiere of a new cabaret, Thank U 4 a Funky Time, as the latest installment in his series, Salty Brine's Spectacular Living Record Collection Cabaret. Salty Brine's Spectacular Living Record Collection Cabaret, which performs every Wednesday as part of Brine's residency at The Red Room (85 E. 4th St.), explores a different iconic album each month in a live cabaret setting. Thank U 4 a Funky Time, inspired by Prince's iconic album Purple Rain, will run on March 9, 16, 23, and 30, with an additional performance on Friday, March 25. On Wednesdays (March 9, 16, 23, and 30) doors open at 7:30pm and shows begin at 8:00pm. On Friday, March 25, doors open at 7:00pm with the show beginning at 7:30pm.

Salty Brine and Nate Weida know all the ways to please you in this funkalicious evening of grooves, moves, and attitude. Put on your bedroom eyes and leave your inhibitions at the door as this dynamic duo unfolds a tangled web of awkward sex stories and lessons in lovemaking, all set to the superfine music of Prince's dirty little album Purple Rain. If you're lucky, we might be saying Thank U 4 a Funky Time after this month's edition of Salty Brine's Spectacular Living Record Collection Cabaret.

Thank U 4 a Funky Time, created and performed by Salty Brine and Nate Weida, is directed by Andrew Neisler with dramaturgy by Anne Davison, costume design by Heather McDevitt Barton, lighting design by Chris D'Angelo and sound design by Haley Wolf. The show also features performances by musicians Ben Arons, John Bennett, Benjamin B. Lee and Emil McGloin.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online at www.thesaltiestbrine.com.

About Salty Brine's Spectacular Living Record Collection Cabaret

Shows every Wednesday night. A different album every month. This dazzling expedition into the heart of popular music, created and performed by cabaret artist Salty Brine, takes incredible albums and twists them in style and form until they are at once familiar and foreign, nostalgic and new. Imagining track lists as blueprints for evenings of musical mayhem, Salty brings you his Spectacular Living Record Collection Cabaret as part of a residency at downtown's swankiest speakeasy, The Red Room.

Past shows (all Time Out New York Critics' Picks) include Abbey Straße, I've Been to Sea Before, Second Hand News, Dark Side of the Rainbow, I Carried a Watermelon, He's So Unusual, Givin' Up Your Heart, I'm A Lot Like You and These Are the Contents of My Head.
