On Stage at Kingsborough, a leading performing arts presenter located at Brooklyn's Kingsborough Community College presents its 2017 spring season, featuring world class artists from around the globe.
On Stage at Kingsborough brings internationally renowned performing artists to Southern Brooklyn with an eclectic roster spanning multiple genres including music, dance, theatre and family programming. The full 2016-2017 season began September 24, 2016 and runs through May 20, 2017.
On May 6, join acclaimed jazz and cabaret singer Natalie Douglas for her show, "FOUR WOMEN: Nina, Lena, Abbey and Billie" and listen to her majestic voice as she performs the signature works of legends Nina Simone, Lena Horne, Abbey Lincoln, and Billie Holiday. Douglas celebrates the extraordinary women who changed the face of musical storytelling with songs like Lena's sensational "Stormy Weather," Nina's electrifying "I Put a Spell on You," Abbey's inspirational "Throw It Away," and, of course, Billie's stunning "God Bless The Child."
Gorgeous pipes combined with effortless vocal styling and inspiring song interpretation are the hallmarks of nightclub diva Natalie Douglas, whose recent appearances include Birdland Jazz Club, Carnegie Hall, and Cafe Carlyle. In March 2017, Natalie Douglas was awarded her 8th MAC Award for "Major Recording" for her new album, "Human Heart." This album also was awarded the 2017 Backstage Bistro Award for "Outstanding Recording." Join Douglas, her Musical Director Mark Hartman (Broadway's Avenue Q & Sondheim on Sondheim), and their quintet as they honor these dynamic, iconic, complex, exhilarating, and fiercely talented Four Women.

We strive to create an environment where the arts are an accessible and integral part of life, and the Arts Center is a community gathering place for interaction and inspiration. We present world-class dance, cabaret, theatre, music, and family performances in the Leon M. Goldstein Performing Arts Center and Kingsborough Community College's Lighthouse from September to May, and our Hot Summer Nights! free outdoor concert series at Kingsborough Community College's bandshell every July.
