I'VE GOT A LITTLE TWIST MODERN GILBERT & SULLIVAN, DECEMBER 1 AT 9:30PM:

It's where The Mikado meets The Music Man, where the HMS Pinafore sets sail for Brigadoon, and where The Pirates of Penzance take shore leave On the Town. It's I've Got a Little TWIST!, New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players' hit production that highlights the timeless legacy of Gilbert & Sullivan in music theatre and shows off how fun, fresh, and full-of-life Gilbert & Sullivan can be to a modern audience. The show incorporates Gilbert & Sullivan favorites performed with "little twists" that bring them into our modern world. As well, Gilbert & Sullivan is juxtaposed with Broadway classics showing how this tongue twisting art form has been "used and infused into Broadway shows for years," and original Gilbert & Sullivan pieces are performed as they are, allowing the timelessness of the material to speak for itself. Audiences are treated to song and dance, beautiful ensemble singing, and laugh-out-loud comedy, while leaving the theatre with an intimate knowledge of what famous 20th century lyricist Johnny Mercer said: "We all come from Gilbert." MARIEANN MERINGOLO: IN THE SPIRIT, DECEMBER 4 AT 9:30PM:

She also has a sense of humor that comes into play at appropriate moments." -Stephen Holden, The New York Times. Marieann Meringolo, a MAC and Bistro award-winning vocalist brings her critically acclaimed annual holiday show In The Spirit to Feinstein's/54 Below! Join us for a holiday celebration not to be missed that's sure to put you In The Spirit this holiday season! Marieann and her fabulous trio will take you on a sleigh ride through a fantastic Winter Wonderland. Expect classic holiday songs, sung in a way that'll make you feel you're hearing them for the first time, as well as original holiday songs that you could swear were already holiday classics! According to Cabaret Scenes, "Marieann Meringolo brings a dynamism all her own to the meticulous lineup of songs she chooses. She is a persuasive performer who can step on a stage and deliver songs with natural authority. Many holiday tunes are so familiar that audiences listen with half an ear, but when you hear her potent Hark, the Herald Angels Sing, you have to sit up and pay attention. If a strong, belting vocal delivery is your preference, Meringolo has it. Prefer sensitive intensity? Just listen to 'Mary, Did You Know?' (Mark Lowry and Buddy Greene), a song recorded many times by country singers; Meringolo's rich, resonant tone brings in a sophisticated layer of wisdom over the obvious religious tradition." Meringolo is accompanied by Doyle Newmyer, Boots Maleson on bass and Brian Woodruff on drums. From "Silver Bells" to "Baby, It's Cold Outside," hear Christmas like you've never heard it before! $30-40 cover charge. $70 premium seating. $25 food and beverage minimum.

JAY MALSKY IS... ELAINE STRITCH: MERRY CHRISTMAS, DECEMBER 4 AT 11:30PM:

Merry F-ing Christmas. After trotting me out all summer for the NYC Fringe Festival, the producers of my show have decided it would be a good idea to have me do a Holiday Show. It's not. But I do love New York at Christmas time, so come let me and my friends entertain you as we celebrate the Holiday Season.
