This New Year's Eve, Bistro Chat Noir (22 East 66th St. / www.BistroChatNoir.com / 212-794-2428) will offer a special 1920s Speakeasy-Themed Celebration complete with four courses of stunning French cuisine, plus drinks, dancing, and a special performance of Speakeasy Moderne, an entertaining cabaret show featuring an intoxicating blend of Jazz Age Manhattan, vaudeville, and a touch of burlesque.

Perfect for couples or groups, the restaurant's lively New Year's Eve will have two seatings: a 6pm prix-fixe menu & cabaret show ($100) and a 9pm prix-fixe menu & cabaret show (reserve by 12/30 at 5pm, $200, after $250); 9pm guests will also have a midnight countdown with Laurent Perrier Champagne Toast and a DJ for the night. Tucked away just a block from Central Park and located in a Louis Candela designed townhouse, Bistro Chat Noir's cream stripped walls, crimson banquettes, and low lighting wrap you in a romantic glow while enjoying top-notch French cuisine made with the freshest of local ingredients. Dinner on 12/31 begins with a delicious Canape Plate with tuna tartare, foie gras on brioche & more; Appetizer options include flavorful Onion Soup with guyere cheese crouton; Pumpkin Ravioli with pumpkin, sage tempura and balsamic cream sauce; and a Tuna & Salmon Tartare Duo. Entrée options include herb-crusted Rack of Lamb with potato gratin, merguez sausage and mint sauce; Seafood Risotto with lemon zest, asparagus, tomatoes, zucchini, carrots, shrimp, tuna & scallops; and a tender pan-seared Long Island Duck Breast with carrot, parsnip and eggplant puree trio, caramelized apples and white turnips, and a cumin & blood orange sauce.

Desserts include Homemade Cheesecake with red berry coulis; Profiteroles with vanilla ice cream and Valrona chocolate sauce; and Apple Tarte Tatin with French vanilla ice cream. The Specialty Cocktails for the evening are the Purity Coconut Martini with egg white and coconut water; and the Chat Noir Negroni with gin, vermouth and Campari.

With a range of songs from Broadway, standards, and today, Speakeasy Moderne is a truly charming and engaging cabaret show hosted by Hank Stampfl. He will be joined by Bronwyn Tarboton, Jessica Coffman, Kristin Ewing and Kimberly Schafer on New Year's Eve.
