The iconic Metropolitan Room will be hosting a Benefit Cabaret July 20th at 9:30pm to support a new documentary in production, "Crossing the Divide," which follows a young Arab-American transgender man though his first year of transition.

The event will feature Russell Elliot, as seen on Huffington Post, Ellen Winter of Chamber Band, and Jo Lee,

singer, music producer and member of the New York City Gay Men's Chorus. In conjunction with this event, the filmmakers have launched a Kickstarter campaign with a goal of $10,000. This is not only a night to help support "Crossing the Divide", but to celebrate the trans and queer communities.

Tickets are $24 and can be purchased at www.metropolitanroom.com, or by calling 212.206.0440.
