If you've attended, or have followed DPTV's coverage of Nick Cave's exhibit at Cranbrook, you will want to check outNick Cave's Dance Lab performances, the second of which is this Sunday, July 26th, at the Dequindre Cut (under the East Lafayette overpass) at 4pm EDT.

Nick Cave's Dance Labs are presented by Cranbrook Art Museum's partnership with the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD), and involves Cave pairing three local dance companies with three musicians to create their own choreographed works with his extraordinary sculptures. This performance is FREE and open to the public, and is a great opportunity to showcase the local talent we have in the city of Detroit.

Coinciding with this performance is an interview with the artist himself, from a special episode of Detroit Performs that aired this past week. His interview is not only a wonderful example of the great work Detroit Public Television is producing, but also a terrific example of the amazing artistry that exists in Detroit. Don't believe us?
