TEN: The Enthusiast Network announced today that the award-winning blues-rock Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band will headline the inaugural HOT ROD PowerFest West in Las Vegas.

The two-day destination event, which offers participants and spectators the opportunity to share their appreciation for performance car culture, will be held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino Pavilion Lot on Sept. 26 and 27.

The namesake frontman of the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band has been named one of the top blues guitarists of all time by Guitar World magazine. To-date, his band has released six No. 1 blues albums and has a growing list of hit singles, including the 1995 smash "Blue on Black". The band will headline HOT ROD PowerFest West on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 8 p.m.

In addition to entertainment throughout the weekend, PowerFest West will also host a wide variety of vehicles from good old American muscle and street rods to high-end exotics. The two-day festival will also host a number of contests including a Dyno Challenge that allows participants to see how much horsepower is under the hoods of their respective rides, a Burnout Contest focused on tire smoke and engine noise and Show 'n' Shine judging, in which professionals and HOT ROD editors award rides in multiple categories.

Also on-site will be food trucks, a Miss PowerFest West model search, tricked out tuner cars, a selection of the best trucks and low-riders in the Western U.S. as well as personalities David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan from the gearhead adventure show "Roadkill".

"When you think of music and hot rods, you think of Kenny Wayne Shepherd," said David Freiburger, Senior Vice President of Content Strategy of TEN. "His performance will surely be the icing on the cake for a truly memorable and exciting weekend for car enthusiasts in Vegas."

Showtime will be 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets for the general public for Saturday are $40 in advance or $45 at the gate, and tickets for Sunday are $20 in advance or $25 at the gate.
