Sirius XM radio host Seth Rudetsky is bringing his Broadway concert series back to Myron’s starring Tony® Award winner Rachel Bay Jones. This unique concert is a one-night-only special-event that will be filled with intimate, funny, behind-the-scenes stories mixed with incredible performances of the songs Rachel has performed on Broadway and beyond.
The set-list will have Rachel and Seth recreating show-stopping performances from Rachel’s unique Broadway career including her debut at age 19 in the classic Meet Me In St. Louis, plus songs from her stint in the Tony® Award winning revival Hair and her star turn as Catherine in Pippin. It will also include the stunning song “Invisible” which she sang on Broadway when she went on as the understudy for…Patti LuPone! Rachel will also be singing songs from her fantastic album and, of course, will sing her showstopping 11 o’clock number from Dear Evan Hansen which won her the Tony® Award as Best Actress in a Musical. And, of course, the whole thing will be peppered with Rudetsky’s signature comedy and encyclopedic knowledge of Broadway.
Seth's Broadway Concerts are always one-of-a-kind because they're never fully planned in advance. For instance, Rachel was recently on Seth’s Broadway Cruise and he had her sing a bunch of songs she’s never done before from roles he wished she would play. Wouldn’t you all like to hear Rachel as Fantine in Les Misérables? Or maybe this time he wants to know what she’d sound like as Eponine? Who knows what will happen at the performance you attend.
This spontaneous evening of hilarious inside stories and hit songs will also feature questions/suggestions from the audience! Don’t miss this rare concert event in Myron’s from two of our most favorite performers!
Many Broadway fans feel a shiver of excitement hearing the name Rachel Bay Jones, and for good reason. The Tony winner, who visits The Smith Center in Las Vegas on May 5 for an installment of Seth Rudetsky’s Broadway concert series, has spent her career appearing in beloved musicals. Jones has starred in such smash Broadway hits as Hair, Pippin and Dear Evan Hansen, the last of which earned her a Tony Award for her poignant portrayal of Evan Hansen’s mother.
