New York No Limits (NYNL) in collaboration with the Curatorial Art Alliance (CorAAL) has announced official selections for the New York No Limits 2012 Summit being held December 12 - 15 in New York City and Brooklyn, NY.

The selected films include Bryce Dallas Howard’s WHEN YOU FIND ME, Ana Nogueira’s ROADMAP TO APARTHEID narrated by Alice Walker, Liam Sullivan’s THUGS THE MUSICAL featuring Kevin Avery, David Alan Grier and the Wu Tang Clan’s Prodigal Sunn and Toru Kamei’s CHAT NOIR LUCY starring Muga Tsukaji. The selections include films from eight countries across multiple genres.

The New York No Limits 2012 Summit will be presented at two locations over four days – December 12th and 13th at Brooklyn Fire Proof (119 Ingraham St. Brooklyn, NY 11237) and December 14th and 15th at New York City’s White Box (329 Broome St. New York, NY 10002).

Tickets are available by visiting www.NewYorkNoLimits.com ($12 advance, $15 day-of).

The theme of the 2012 Summit is Panorama View. This year’s selections explore a wide palette of diversity and cultural perspective. The lineup reflects NYNL’s commitment to spotlighting new filmmakers who explore innovation in style and content. NYNL will showcase five feature films from the international community, two narratives and three documentaries that cast a broad spectrum on complex social issues and provocative conflict. The participating films span multiple genres to form a unique program of new wave filmmaking.

To meet the goal of integrating the selected films with other media, NYNL is pleased to announce a partnership with the Curatorial Art Alliance (CorAAL), a not-for-profit organization committed to advancing art without borders, to present the CorAAL Video Art Festival, a compendium exhibition of emerging artists and a video art screening by internationally-known Italian artist Francesco Simeti that gives audiences the opportunity to experience narrative film, photography and conceptual digital video in one setting.

On December 15th, NYNL will announce the awards for the 2012 SUMMIT AWARD BEST FILM, BEST FEATURE FILM and BEST SHORT FILM. The 2012 AUDIENCE AWARD will be announced following the Summit.
