I AM BATTLE COMIC, a thought-provoking documentary about stand-up comedians entertaining our troops in the Middle East, will have it's Las Vegas Premiere at a special red carpet benefit event on May 31st, 2017, 9:30PM -11:30PM at The AMC Town Square 18. The event is sponsored in part by Battle Comics.

It has been said, "Laughter is the best medicine". It also turns out that comedy can be a preventative medicine as well. Since 1992 Battle Comics have been entertaining the troops in war zones and around the world and the new documentary I Am Battle Comic goes first hand and shows the importance of bringing laughter to those serving on the front lines.

"I AM BATTLE COMIC" follows comedians (Slade Ham, Bob Kubota, Jeff Capri and Don Barnhart) touring the frontlines performing for our U.S. Troops stationed in Afghanistan, Kuwait and Iraq. Heartfelt interviews with top professional comedians (George Lopez, George Wallace, Dave Attell, Wayne Federman) are woven in with the filmmaker's boots on the ground reality.

A hysterical Q&A featuring director Jordan Brady and some of the comedians from the film including comedian and Battle Comic Founder Don Barnhart. ALL of the money raised benefits For Veterans Sake Foundation whose maIn Focus is providing service dogs to veterans suffering from PTSD.

Judd Apatow calls I AM BATTLE COMIC "An excellent heartfelt film that pays tribute to our troops...and the comedians who travel the world to make them laugh".

I Am Battle Comic is sure to spark conversation and create a deep appreciation for our military non-profits and families. In March of 2016, comedian/filmmaker Jordan Brady traveled to the frontlines with four professional comics to perform for our military men and women. The camera follows the comics confronting the highs and lows facing them and our brave men and women in uniform while weaving in current events such as the brutal terrorist attacks in Brussels, Turkey, and Iraq. The dangers faced at the front and around the world underscore the mission to provide laughter for the men and women serving in our military.

Jordan Brady began as a stand-up comedian, touring nightclubs and colleges in 49 states across America. Mr. Brady's true passion is commercials. He has directed over more than 1000 national TV spots to date. Through his commercial Production Company, Superlounge, he directs ad campaigns for brands and agencies all over the world, recently working with Will Ferrell, Kevin Hart, Keegan-Michael Key and Jim Gaffigan. He has directed five features films, including the 2010 cult hit feature documentary I AM COMIC (Netflix, Showtime), and its follow-up, 2014's I AM ROAD COMIC (Netflix, Hulu). Mr. Brady also hosts the popular podcast RESPECT THE PROCESS, described as "The Rosetta Stone of filmmaking."

I AM BATTLE COMIC continues a filmmaking journey through the current standup boom that has made Brady the definitive biographer of the medium's modern era. 2010's I AM COMIC was a virtual who's who of standup comedy, starring Louis CK, Chris Hardwick, Sarah Silverman, Tim Allen, Roseanne Barr, Jeff Foxworthy, Ritch Shydner and 76 other comics. I AM ROAD COMIC had Brady Co-Headlining (with longtime friend and national headliner Wayne Federman) at Jack Didley's in Kennewick, WA, where, two weeks prior, bouncers had tossed a patron out on his head, putting him in a coma. In the film, more than two dozen comics - including Pete Holmes, T.J. Miller, Marc Maron, Doug Benson, Kyle Kinane, Maria Bamford, Judah Friedlander, Jim Norton, W. Kamau Bell, Nikki Glaser and Alonzo Bodden - discuss the nuts and bolts of working the road in bars and clubs.

For Veterans Sake Foundation

For Veteran's Sake Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 Non-profit organization. Their maIn Focus is dealing with PTSD that veterans are suffering from. The method they use is simple, work with the strongest symptom first and teach them how to turn it in to a positive in their lives. This is done by using highly trained service dogs that are trained to their specific needs and a mixture of Hypnosis with some interrogation techniques. All this is done at NO COST to the veteran or their immediate family. For Veterans Sake believes in doing everything possible to keep the family together.

Battle Comics

Inspired by Bob Hope's legacy, Don Barnhart's Battle Comics are dedicated to entertaining the troops and bringing even more comedy shows to the men and women serving around the world in the United States Armed Forces. Since 1992, award-winning comedian Don Barnhart has both performed and produced comedy shows for the U.S. Military. From independent and self-funded tours, benefits and fundraisers to the USO, Comics on Duty and Armed Forces Entertainment, Barnhart himself spends several weeks a year committed to entertaining the troops.

Barnhart currently stars in the new sitcom and web series Class Clowns. The show, created by Barnhart follows the miss-adventures of fictional comedian and former sitcom star Johnny B who pulls a "Kramer" takes a "Chappelle" and comes back to star in his own "Seinfeld" type of web series/reality show. The show is written by Barnhart and Keith Lyle from The Hangover movie. It co-stars Lyle and fellow Vegas comedians Linda Vu, Derek Richards, Brent Mukai and Brandon James.

When Barnhart isn't on tour, he and many of his fellow Battle Comics can be seen performing nightly at Jokesters Comedy Club inside The D Casino Hotel in Las Vegas.
