BWW speaks to Andrea Hubert about her 2016 Edinburgh Fringe show Week.

Tell us about your show Week

It's a show about what happens when you leave depression undiagnosed, and what a fear of medication will do to your life. What? Yeah, it's definitely a comedy!

It sounds quite dark

I think maybe I've been doing comedy too long, because I have lost all concept of what dark is. To me, dark is an hour-long show that doesn't have jokes. I think you can do comedy about anything and the humour strips away the darkness. At least, that's the aim.

Do you think you know what to expect from the festival?

A mixture of heady excitement, existential despair, inspirational, drunken heart to hearts, and wet feet. Right?

What else are you hoping to see in Edinburgh?

The castle! I never go and always mean to! Also, I'm looking forward to seeing Liam Williams' play. And I have tickets to Bill Burr who is...well, he's Bill Burr. No more needs to be said!

Who would you recommend your show to?

Anyone who is free, sober and interested at 3.45pm! No kids though. Not that I don't like them. I just think I'd find it hard to talk about suicidal thoughts with them there. Hard - but not impossible.

Andrea Hubert: Week is at the Gilded Balloon Counting House Sitting Room at 3:45pm, 3rd - 29th August (except 15th & 16th)
