Taking time off from his residency in Las Vegas, comedian Don Barnhart will once again head the Battle Comics World Tour as they prepare for a month long tour bringing laughter to the men and women serving overseas in the Armed Forces.

Entertaining the troops has always been a priority for Las Vegas based comedian Don Barnhart and it's evident by his 25 years of service producing and performing comedy shows for the military. Since 1992, Barnhart has performed, recruited talent and produced tours for Armed Forces Entertainment, The USO, and Comic's On Duty. Don has even self-funded tours in an effort to boost the morale and welfare of those serving overseas.

"It's both an honor and privilege to serve those that serve and I feel like the water boy on the Super Bowl team", said Barnhart in a recent interview. "Right now, suicides in the military are at an epidemic proportion with and average of 22 a day and by bringing a piece of home and some humor to them, it's our way of making a personal connection with our troops letting them know how important they are to us."

In another effort to bring awareness to the high suicide rate in the military, Barnhart recently accepted the #22KILL challenge by committing to doing 22 pushups a day and posting them on social media to raise awareness to the suicide epidemic that is plaguing our country, and educate the public on mental health issues such as PTSD. Don has also put up a free download of his Personal Power Hypnosis CD on his website to help those in need.

Don rose to the challenge and accomplished his 22 during the middle of a recent show on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines in front of over 1200 cheering audience members who helped by counting them off.

The #22Kill 22Pushups campaign has become so popular that Barnhart recently overheard a couple of Veterans talking about it and joined the conversation. Turns out Don was talking with Veteran Major Peter Ripich who has committed to doing 22 push-ups for 1 year (365 days) to raise even more awareness about veteran suicide and mental health issues.

Peter added, "22 US veterans will take their lives each day, seeing no way to escape their suffering. They need our gratitude and support!" It was then that they all dropped down in the middle of baggage claim at the Miami airport as Peter accomplished day 194 while the others cranked out their daily 22.

The 2017 Battle Comics World Tour is lead by Barnhart and features comedians: Derek Richards from the Irish Comedy Tour, Kathleen Dunbar and Jeff Capri from Comics Unleashed, Bob Kubota from Last Comic Standing and hosted by comedian Brandon James from Class Clowns. Don Barnhart and his Battle Comic team will do shows throughout the Europe and Mediterranean but due to security, exact bases cannot be disclosed.

When Barnhart isn't on tour performing for the troops or headlining the top Comedy Clubs across the country, he appears nightly in Las Vegas at Jokesters Comedy Club at The D Hotel. Don also stars in the upcoming sitcom Class Clowns and the comedy documentary Finding The Funny with Brad Garrett and Louie Anderson. His new book Finding Your Funny hit the best-seller list on Amazon and he is the creator and host of The Freedom of Speech Comedy TV Show.
