Comedian Don Barnhart Wants To Heal The World With THE SMILE CHALLENGE

In an effort to help the world feel better, happier and healthier comedian Don Barnhart has started The Smile Challenge. Unlike the ice bucket, planking and mannequin challenges The Smile Challenge is even easier because all you have to do is smile.

Barnhart explained why The Smile Challenge should work. "With all the negativity in the world, people are focusing and putting their energies into destructive thought patterns which amplifies and creates even more anxiety. However, the opposite can be true as well. This is similar to the underlying principles in ideas like The Secret or The Power of Intent. So by smiling, we can almost instantaneously change our state of being."

"When we smile, it automatically triggers our subconscious mind to 'join in the fun' and it doesn't matter if we're sad, angry or heartbroken. Whatever we put our energy into tends to manifest into our lives," added Barnhart. "If we can get everyone to do The Smile Challenge and just take a few moments out of our day to feel better, I believe the collective consciousness of the world will change and their will be a dramatic shift in our health, happiness and prosperity."

The comedian recently experienced the firsthand power of laughter while sitting bedside next to his dying father. "My dad was in such emotionally and physically pain and making him laugh and smile completely changed his state of being for the better. I could literally see an energy shift in his body as he sat up, his face began to glow and a sparkle came back to his eyes. I honestly feel it helped in his passing. My father went out on a laugh and that helped me to feel better even through my tears and at one of my most painful moments in my life."

The Smile Challenge is simple: All you have to do is take 1-3 minutes and look yourself in the mirror making the biggest smile you can comfortably do. After a few moments you'll begin to notice your attitude beginning to change. You may feel silly, stupid or outright ridiculous but that's the point. You'll feel better and silly is good.
