"You gotta hear this band!" was what Peter Holsapple (The dB's/REM) had to say about Colorway when the two played together in Raleigh, NC this past April. Richard Lloyd from the groundbreaking NYC band Television called them "Amazing and inspiring" when they shared a stage in Connecticut last October. And Fountains of Wayne frontman, Chris Collingwood called Colorway's music, "Great stuff" recently. Safe to say the guitar-fueled pop rock trio from Northampton, Mass is making the right kind of fans all over the US.

On Friday, July 14 Colorway will travel to Brooklyn's Lantern Hall to play an hour long set from 10-11pm. They will be showcasing some brand new material as well as playing tracks from their back catalog. Also on the bill is Winstons, Manatree, Minor Poet and Jana Peri.

Colorway certainly had a busy 2016 opening for the likes of The Yardbirds, Foreigner, Ian Hunter, Delta Deep (feat. members of Def Leppard and Stone Temple Pilots) as well as being included in the Green River Festival in Greenfield, MA, alongside Margo Price, Oh Pep!, NRBQ, Shakey Graves, Dawes and many more over three days.

Independent Music Award winning guitarist, F Alex Johnson (Drunk Stuntmen/The Young At Heart Chorus) assembled Colorway in late 2012 to give life to the new music he had been writing since getting clean and sober in 2008. The nearly 30 years of writing, recording and performing under Johnson's belt is evident in every song and in every show. He spent the last year revitalizing the band with a new rhythm section, learning and reworking all the material from Colorway's debut self-titled 2013 album as well as 2015's The Black Sky Sequined (mastered by engineering god, Bob Ludwig) which Modern Rock Review called "One of the finest rock albums of 2015".

Frontman, F. Alex Johnson is excited to get on the road where he feels the most at home. "For the past twenty-five years I've spent most of my time on the road traveling around the country and abroad," Johnson says. "It's where all the hard work spent in the rehearsal rooms, studios and at the computer pay off. The connection when plaYing Live between the audience and the band is like no other. And I feel blessed to still be here after so many twists and turn to be able to share some time with our fans old and new."

Come see for yourself how the power of three people who love what they do as much as Colorway does can move you, groove you and remind you that-to paraphrase Mr Frank Zappa, music really is the best.
