Just in time for Father's Day, native Philadelphian, journalist and Philly sports fan Richard Manieri's memoir on the funny and powerful insights into his tumultuous father-son relationship and his "Philadelphia Experience" is now available everywhere books are sold.

Manieri, known to many as a former Philadelphia TV news reporter, shares anecdotes about his Italian-American Philly upbringing that will resonate with a broad audience. From bonding with his father through the Eagles and Phillies, to taking the dreaded walk across the dance floor to meet a girl, to making his way in broadcast journalism, WE BURN ON FRIDAY is a hilarious summer beach read and perfect Father's Day gift.

WE BURN ON FRIDAY [BPS Books] is available via Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other retailers.

Author Richard Manieri was born in Philadelphia, grew up in Delaware County and graduated from Villanova University. He spent 15 years as a TV news reporter, mostly at Fox 29 in Philadelphia. He later worked as a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's Office, communications consultant, speechwriter and college professor. He also founded and coached Asbury University's (KY) first women's lacrosse team where, in 2016, he was named Appalachian Athletic Conference Coach of the Year.

Manieri is currently Deputy Opinion Editor and columnist at LNP Media, formerly Lancaster Newspapers. His essays have appeared in publications throughout the country. He has won Emmy and Associated Press Awards for reporting. Just recently, he was awarded a Keystone Press Award for column writing in Pennsylvania.
