Angela Pellegrino-Lavalle Releases New Children's Book, BENSON

Wollongong, NSW

This new children's illustrated storybook is the story of "Benson," a family dog. Mia, the daughter of the household, is in charge of looking after him. Mia notices that every afternoon when she plays with her best friend Kilani, Benson barks all of the time. Even though she tries to give Benson more attention, what Mia really needs to find out is why Benson is barking.

Why is Benson barking, or what is he barking at? For several days, Mia and her friend Kilani puzzle over Benson's behaviour during afternoons when they are playing. The big, cuddly Golden Retriever loved his food. Since Mia was in charge of this special thirteen year old dog, she has to find out what is bothering Benson.

In the end, she and Kilani realise that Benson barks to call out for his food during afternoons, as he is used to Mia's Mum giving throwing over some food on the driveway. Thus, it explains why he barks and paces the driveway when they are playing. Benson is a happy dog with a full tummy, and Mia will now remember how he loves some food in the afternoon.

With its love, large and bright illustrations, "Benson" the Golden Retriever provides children an endearing, engaging and fun way to solve a domestic riddle during afternoon playtime.
