The Georgia Ensemble Theatre will present A.R. Gurney's WHAT I DID LAST SUMMER directed by Tess Malis Kincaid from February 25 - March 14, 2010.

This gentle and funny coming-of-age story focuses on an American family in 1945 as they spend their summer on the Canadian shore of Lake Erie. 14 year-old Charlie has flunked Latin, but rather than study, he wants to be swimming or playing pranks with his best friend. He takes a job as handyman for a bohemian art teacher who tries to stretch Charlie's mind by teaching him painting and sculpture, which leads to a showdown between the teacher and Charlie's mother in a clash of philosophies which will shape the man Charlie is destined to become.

The cast includes Chris Moses, Eric Mendenhall, Mary Lynn Owen, Rebecca Kling, Brittany Loffert, and Megan McFarland.

The show is rated PG due to some mild language.

Then, from April 8-25, 2010 Robert J. Farley will direct Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey's GREASE.

This all-American music and dance sensation was made famous by its record-breaking run on Broadway, the popular feature film of the same name, and a recent revival on the Great White Way. Set in 1959, the musical follows ten working-class kids at Rydell High School as they navigate the complexities of love, cars and drive-ins. Featuring the smash songs "Summer Nights," "Greased Lightning," "We Go Together," and much more.
