The first song of VEREINIGTE BÜHNEN WIEN's new musical SCHIKANEDER by Stephen Schwartz and Christian Struppeck is now online and BWW has your first listen below! Check out the studio recording of "Traum Gross" ("Dream Big") featuring Mark Seibert as "Emanuel Schikander" and Milica Jovanovic as Schikaneder's wife "Eleonore" with Stephen Schwartz, Christian Struppeck and Vereinigte Bühnen Wien-Musical Director Koen Schoots.

SCHIKANEDER - The Turbulent Love Story Behind The Magic Flute, a romantic musical comedy about one of the 18th century's most colorful theatrical couples, will celebrate its world premiere on September 30, 2016 at the Raimund Theater in Vienna, directed by Trevor Nunn.

SCHIKANEDER is the story of the unconventional marriage between the actor, singer, director, writer and stage manager Emanuel Schikaneder and his wife Eleonore, the relationship between them and their impact to the artistic scenes of the time. Without it, one of the greatest opera libretti of all time - "The Magic Flute" - would never have been written.
