theatre-makers' directing showcase

The University of Cape Town Drama Department will showcase their graduating class of theatre-makers in four nights of directing scenes.

Six students will present their work as a part of this programme. On 24 and 26 August, Emilie Badenhorst will direct Tertius Kapp's ROOILAND, Tana Kyhle-Kahr will direct Sarah Daniels's HEATROT HOLIDAY and Lesego Chauke will direct Athol Fugard's HELLO AND GOODBYE.

On 25 and 27 August, Shoko Yoshimura will direct Caryl Churchill's FAR AWAY, Dara Beth will direct the Women's Theatre Group's DOUBLE VISION and Namisa Mdlalose will direct BOESMAN AND LENA.

The presentations will take place at the Arena Theatre on University of Cape Town's Hiddingh Campus, with the programme starting at 19:30 each night. There is no charge, but booking by email or telephone (021 6507129) is essential. Free secure parking and a cash bar are available.
