Stories on Stage presents "Every Stanza Tells a Story" Saturday, January 17 at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Su Teatro Cultural and Performing Arts Center, 721 Santa Fe Drive, Denver, CO 80204. Single tickets are $28. Student tickets are $15; tickets for groups of 10 or more are $23 per person and LoDough (scholarship) tickets are also available. Tickets are available by calling 303-494-0523 or online at www.storiesonstage.org.

As an active advocate for poetry, literacy and literature, Colorado's Poet Laureate Joseph Hutchison will be on hand for a talk-back after the 1:30 p.m. show.

Colorado's Poet Laureate also serves by participating in readings and other events at schools, libraries, literary festivals and the State Capitol. The selection of Poet Laureate, who serves a four-year term, is based on artistic excellence, a demonstrated history of community service in the advancement of poetry and the ability to present poetry effectively.

Narrative poetry is a vibrant form of storytelling in verse that's been enjoying a big revival in recent years. These unusual tales are by turns touching, romantic, wickedly funny - and chock full of surprises!
