THE COLOR PURPLE producer Oprah stopped by a recent rehearsal for the show's upcoming Broadway run and joined in on a song after hugging some of the cast members, among them Danille Brooks, Jennifer Hudson and Cynthia Erivo. Check out a clip from the surprise visit below!

The highly-anticipated Broadway revival of The Color Purple, directed by John Doyle, begins previews on November 10th at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre, with an official opening set for December 10th.

Phoenix Best, Dwayne Clark, Lawrence Clayton, Carrie Compere, Patrice Covington, Adrianna Hicks, Bre Jackson, Grasan Kingsberry, Kevyn Morrow, Ken Robinson, Antoine L. Smith, Carla R. Stewart, Akron Watson and Rema Webb join previously announced principals Hudson, Erivo, Brooks, Isaiah Johnson, Joaquina Kalukango and Kyle Scatliffe in this acclaimed staging from London's Menier Chocolate Factory.

THE COLOR PURPLE has scenic design by John Doyle, costume design by Ann Hould-Ward, lighting design by Jane Cox, sound design by Gregory Clarke, and hair and wig design by Charles G. LaPointe. The Color Purple will feature music supervision byCatherine Jayes and Music Direction byJason Michael Webb. Casting by Telsey + Company/Justin Huff, CSA.
