Luna Paige brings her music to Cape Town in an hour long show at the Alexander Upstairs Theatre for one night only. Paige has released five albums and has performed at numerous festivals in South Africa, including Up the Creek, Woordfees, the Klein Karoo National Arts Festival (KKNK), Splashy Fen, the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown, Innibos, White Mountain, Oppikoppi and Aardklop, as well as abroad, in Namibia, Mozambique and the Netherlands. in LUNA PAIGE LIVE, she will be performing songs from her various albums and might throw in a new song or two.

Paige started her career in 1999 when she was introduced to the South African music scene as a participant in the compilation project EVE: WOMEN IN THE GARDEN OF SONG. LUNA, her self-titled first release in 2003, secured her a first performance at Oppikoppi and numerous well known venues around the country. Two of the tracks off this album were used in the popular travel TV series GOING NOWHERE SLOWLY. With the release of her second album, MISSING PIECES (2005), Paige gained further recognition with songs such as "Somewhere Beautiful" which reached the top of the charts on OFM and was playlisted on numerous other radio stations.

Paige released her third album in 2009, WONDERFUL LIFE. The single, "Restless Soul", placed in local radio stations' charts, while "Won't Be leaving you behind" was playlisted on numerous stations. On this album, Paige also collaborated for the first time with artists Gerald Clark and Chris Chameleon, which led to the creation of the popular collaborative production between Paige and Clark, LOVEMORE SHOW. Paige also participated in the Afrikaans musical ELDERS ANN DIENS, with actresses Frieda van den Heever and Nicole Holm, under the direction of Albert Maritz. This production toured to numerous festivals and theatres and was nominated for a Kanna Award at KKNK.

In 2012, Paige released her first Afrikaans album and DVD. It was a unique project in the sense that all songs were inspired by Afrikaans short stories and novels written by some of the countroes most acclaimed writers. This introduction into the Afrikaans music scene opened many doors for Paige. She was invited to perform at numerous literary events and festivals. This album also established Paige as an first-class songwriter, composer and independent artist. It was this album that took Paige on her first journey to the Netherlands, where she performed at the Festival voor Afrikaans and The International Singer-Songwriter Festival. Next month, Paige will return to the Netherlands to perform at Herman van Veen's Harlekijn Festival & Dag van Zuid-Afrika. Her travels will also include some extra solo performances in the country.

2014 saw the release of Paige's fifth album, BORDERS & BEYOND. In this album, Paige experimented with country sounds with popular songs such as "Illusions" and "Keep on Keeping On". Once again, Paige wrote a duet for herself and Clark and included it on the album. "One Day" forms part of the LOVEMORE SHOW. Songs like "Rollercoaster" and "Beyond Borders" were playlisted on radio in 2014.

In 2015, Paige introduced a new Afrikaans production: DIE ANDER KONSERT. For this project, Paige invited singer-songwriters she admires to join forces with her in an Afrikaans music project entailing songs from an array of music genres. The show made its debut at Woordfees and received great publicity and reaction at KKNK. Fans can expect a short concert series in October this year when DIE ANDER KNOSERT will be hosted in Stellenbosch, Robertson and Durbanville.

Paige is spending time on the composition of a theme song for a dark comedy film featuring Casper de Vries and Tobi Cronje. Written by and directed by David Moore, filming starts next month. Paige will also appear in this film, which represents her debut film appearance and her introduction to the world of film music, a dream she has been nirturing for many years.

Paige is keeping performances to a minimum this year since she is spending time on being creative and writing new material. Besides her travels to the Netherlands, fans can see Paige at Oppikoppi from 9-11 August, with details for two small tours in September and November available on her website, on Facebook, on Soundcloud and on Twitter.
