Mary J. Wright, a retiree and avid painter, has completed her first book "Henry the Barn Swallow," a gripping tale filled with adventure, triumph, and love.

Wright says: "After working twenty-seven years with a telephone company, I decided to devote myself to pursuing my dreams. My philosophy is that anyone who wants to write should just sit down and do it. That is what drove me to write my first book."

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Mary J. Wright's poignant tale is a lighthearted flight of fancy through the trials and tribulations, life and love of the endearing barn swallow Henry.

Taking a look at the unexplored life of our feathered and musical friends, "Henry the Barn Swallow" explores the way our world appears to a little bird. Growing and learning everything he can from his home in the tree, Henry is exposed to flowers of every color, the people who plant the flowers, and becomes acquainted with the ins and outs of the life of people.

In an imaginative and lovely way, "Henry the Barn Swallow" is a tale that covers a great amount of ground. From his time in his egg, to his first winter migration, this story shares the life of one sweet little bird, his loving family, and their kindly Human neighbors.

Readers who wish to experience this colorful work can purchase "Henry the Barn Swallow" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
