The Luise Ross Gallery will present Crazy, Snake, Mojo, & More: African American Quilts from February 8 - March 8, 2014.

Continuing the involvement that this gallery has had with the work of self-taught African-American artists, The Luise Ross Gallery is presenting a show of African-American quilts. From strip, to snake, to log cabin these quilts can be categorized by vibrant color, and bold patterning, enlivened by asymmetry and improvisation. While individually unique, they are all reminiscent of their roots in the West African textile tradition.
