Deadline reports that Josh Duhamel has signed on to star in the new CBS series BATTLE CREEK, from 'Breaking Bad' scribe Vince Gilligan and David Shore. Bryan Singer will direct.

The straight-to-series drama will follow "Detective Russ Agnew (Dean Winters) and FBI agent Milton Chamberlain (Duhamel), who have different worldviews but are teamed up to clean up the semi-mean streets of Battle Creek, MI. Duhamel's Milton Chamberlain is a clean-cut FBI agent; a sincere, humble, even naive guy who heads from Detroit to Battle Creek to set up a satellite FBI office."

Janet McTeer and Kal Penn will round out the cast.

Duhamel began his career as Leo du Pres on ABC's All My Children and later as the chief of security, Danny McCoy, on NBC's Las Vegas. On film he starred in the first three films of the Transformers film series. He has also starred in romance films including When in Rome, Life as We Know It, New Year's Eve, and Safe Haven.
