Foxwood Theatre to Present Godfrey Johnson and Nicholas McDiarmid in 2 MEN AND A PIANO

Godfrey Johnson returns to The Foxwood Theatre this November, joined by pianist extraordinaire, Nicholas McDiarmid, for 2 MEN AND A PIANO. Together they form the hilarious playing-singing duo, The Twinkles, for a show filled with hilarious sketches and outstanding musicality.

The multi-talented Johnson and McDiarmid will seduce you with their skill and humour. The show will include favourites by Cole Porter, George Gershwin, David Bowie, Stephen Sondheim, Peggy Lee, Billy Joel, Leonard Cohen and Noël Coward. The programme will also include piano duets by Mozart, Poulenc and Dvorak.

Johnson has enjoyed international success and has performed over 20 solo shows. He has appeared in numerous films and co-productions. He was recently seen in David Kramer's ORPHEUS IN AFRICA as well as in FIFTY SHADES OF BAMBI with Pieter-Dirk Uys. In 2015, he was nominated for three Fleur du Cap Theatre Awards for his work in VASLAV, directed by Lara Bye, for Best Performance by a Lead Actor in a Musical or Music Theatre Show, Best Performance In A Revue, Cabaret Or One-Person Show and Best Sound Design, Original Music Composition or Original Score. He also composed the music for Pieter- Dirk Uys's DIE VAN AARDES VAN GROOTOOR at Theatre on The Bay last year.

Johnson's 2015 Fleur du Cap nominations established his unique musical and theatrical gifts; he stands as the only nominee to be recognised in three categories for a single show - best actor in a musical, best performance in a one person show and best composer. 2 MEN AND A PIANO will be performed at the Foxwood Theatre on 5 November at 19:00, with an a la carte menu available from 18:00, and on 6 November at 12:00 with a Sunday buffet available after the show.
