Tell us a bit about It Was Funnier In My Head.

It Was Funnier In My Head is my debut show following two years doing comedy since the age of 15. I performed the first incarnation back in November 2016 and it's developed massively since to something I'm immensely proud to take up to Edinburgh. The show mixes in some poetry with stories and gags and is about my experiences and thoughts so far being still at school and 17 years old.

Why bring it to Edinburgh?

The Fringe is just exactly what I love in life, and having visited last year I thought this is where I want to be. And not only to showcase what I'm doing in the perfect environment, but to enjoy the whole Fringe experience of watching other shows and taking in that atmosphere.

What sets it apart from other shows at the Fringe?
Well I'll be one of the youngest performers doing a solo hour, and that unique perspective something I feel comes through quite strongly. My mix of poetry is also something I've not come across in stand-up so far, it's a Pam Ayres and Slam Poetry blend (PamSlam!) and the poems are some of my favourite bits in the show.
And you have a special opening act?
Yes, my own father will be my warm-up act for the show! My Dad started doing some short sets after I started gigging, and I thought it'd be nice to have him bring me to stage and do a bit of his own material.
Who would you recommend comes to see you?
I like to think I have a broad appeal, so everyone! Anyone looking for a laugh, I hope to provide.
