FRIGID New York will present a Playhouse Creature Theatre Company production of Charlotte the Destroyer, written by Megan O'Leary and directed by Janet Bobcean. The show will run tonight, February 19 at 7:05pm, Friday February 21 at 8:40pm, Wednesday February 26 at 7:05pm, Monday March 3 at 5:30pm, and Saturday March 8 at 2:05pm. Performances will take place at The Kraine Theater at 85 E 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery in New York City.

Charlotte the Destroyer is a dark comedy about a washed up children's book author whose drinking problem and phobias sabotage her ability to write. With a deadline long past, the writer's poisoned thoughts manifest in the
twisted behavior of her characters as our author struggles to find her way back toward reality.

Attempting to recreate her own identity, our author attempts to transform the star of her hit children's books (Charlotte) into womanhood. When Charlotte doesn't grow up as planned, reality and fiction collide and threaten to shatter our author's world. Will she find her way back? Will we all survive the wrath of "Charlotte the Destroyer"?

Charlotte the Destroyer features resident PCTC company members Megan O'Leary as the troubled author, Joseph W. Rodriguez as the Man, Emily Dahlke as Mom/Ms Connors and making their stage debut with PCTC, Gretchen Knapp as Charlotte, Alex Carmine as Billy and Shawn Patrick Murphy as Dad. The production is directed by Janet Bobcean with Sound Design by Keller Mcguiness and Stage Management by Tiffany Geigel.

A standout at the Edinburgh Fringe festival in 2006 and posting a successful run in Boston, The Playhouse Creatures are proud to produce the NY premiere of Charlotte The Destroyer at the 2014 FRIGID New York
Festival, hosted by the Horse Trade Theater Group.

Tickets are $16 at www.FRIGIDnewyork.info or 212-868-4444. For more info visit www.FRIGIDnewyork.info or PlayhouseCreatures.org.
