For Their Safety
Written & Directed by Abhishek Passi
A 25–30 minute stage play set in a British park where a seemingly ordinary afternoon slowly unravels into an unsettling conversation about fear, motherhood, and the illusion of safety in modern society.
When a knife-crime incident at a local school enters the discussion between two longtime friends, humour gives way to anxiety. As the conversation deepens, the play examines how adults attempt to shield children from a world that no longer feels predictable.
Blending social realism with dark undertones, For Their Safety explores how “normal life” continues even as unease lingers beneath the surface.
