Indian-American pianist Rishi Mirchandani made his solo debut with the Grammy Award-winning Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra at 18, after amassing six gold medals in major national and international competitions. He has performed internationally to critical acclaim, with four appearances at Carnegie Hall by the age of 12 and concerts across Europe and the US. A summa cum laude graduate in mathematics from Yale University, he also studied piano with Elizabeth Parisot and founded the Yale Undergraduate Piano Collective. He later earned his master’s at the Manhattan School of Music, followed by a Professional Studies Diploma from Mannes, where he won the Steinway Award for artistic excellence. Now based in London, Mirchandani completed his Artist Diploma at the Royal College of Music as an RCM Scholar, studying with Dmitri Alexeev, Ian Jones, and Andrew Zolinsky. He has worked with Lang Lang, Richard Goode, and Boris Berman, and his recording of Nancy Galbraith’s Three Preludes was featured on the acclaimed Strange Travels album (Centaur Records). A dedicated educator, he teaches at Charterhouse School and maintains a private studio with award-winning students. He has also taught at Mannes and given guest masterclasses at Carnegie Mellon. He is a passionate advocate for music’s transformative and unifying power.
