Edlavitch DCJCC's Aaron & Cecile Goldman Theater

Written by Alfred Uhry and directed by Aaron Posner, this staged reading is part of Theater J's Festival of Favorites and Firsts. Set in 1939 Atlanta, Georgia, the play centers on the Freitag family whose hopes are pinned on Ballyhoo, a high-society festival and ball, amid romantic sparks and family secrets. The reading was selected after Theater J audience members voted it among their top three favorite plays from the company's 36-year history.
