SunTrust Broadway Across America - Orlando is proud to present its 2009 - 2010 subscription series offering Broadway's hottest hits in your backyard. The 2009 - 2010 Season is the 20th presented by Florida Theatrical Association in partnership with the City of Orlando and features the triumphant return of The Phantom of The Opera, as well as productions of Fiddler on the Roof starring Topol, The Color Purple, In the Heights, Xanadu and Spring Awakening. Season tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, April 17, 2009 at BroadwayAcrossAmerica.com or by calling 800.448.6322.

Prices for the six-show season range from $147 - $561, depending on performance time, day of week and seating location. SunTrust Broadway Across America - Orlando Season Ticket Holders will receive their renewal packets in the mail within the next week. New subscriptions may be purchased online at BroadwayAcrossAmerica.com 24 hours per day or can be ordered over the phone by calling 800.448.6322 Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Season subscriptions may also be purchased in person at the SunTrust Broadway Across America - Orlando box office located on the lobby level of the Capital Plaza Two Building at 301 East Pine Street, Suite 175, in downtown Orlando. Tickets to individual shows in the 2009 - 2010 Season are not available for purchase at this time. All shows will be performed at the Carr Performing Arts Centre. The Phantom of the Opera makes its return to Orlando with some of the most lavish sets, costumes and special effects ever to have been created for the stage, Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera directed by Harold Prince traces the tragic love story of a beautiful opera singer and a young composer shamed by his physical appearance into a shadowy existence beneath the majestic Paris Opera House. Adapted from Gaston Leroux's classic novel of mystery and suspense, this award-winning musical has woven its magical spell over standing room audiences in more than 100 cities worldwide and is now longest running show in Broadway history. Phantom returns to Orlando to take your breath away January 20 - February 14, 2010.

Orlando audiences will have a once in a lifetime opportunity to see Chaim Topol, star of the original motion picture, in his farewell performance of the award winning role that made him legendary in Fiddler on the Roof. Based on the stories of Sholom Aleichem, Fiddler on the Roof has been lauded by critics again and again, and won the hearts of people all around the world. Put a bunch of smash hit songs, Tony® Award nominee Douglas Carter Beane and the cutest couple in town into a Broadway musical comedy blender, and what do you get? "Heaven on Wheels" says the New York Times of Xanadu. Taking audiences back to 1980 California, this hilarious new musical follows the beautiful Kira, who travels to earth to inspire a struggling young artist named Sonny, as she helps this aspiring painter to find his voice, discover true love and build the world's first roller disco (not necessarily in that order). Xanadu will be wheeling into Orlando April 27 - May 2, 2010.
