Ballet Kelowna presents three evocative works this Valentine’s Day weekend with its mixed program, Restless Balance, on February 13 + 14, 2026, at the Kelowna Community Theatre. This striking program features Threefold Beat, a new piece inspired by the rhythm and flow of the body’s cardiovascular system. Choreographed collaboratively by Ballet Kelowna Rehearsal Director Joanna Lige and company dancers Kurt Werner and Donaldo Nava, their first-ever work for the company celebrates the athleticism and virtuosity of ballet. Restless Balance also includes the return of the contemporary favourite taqš by Associate Artist Cameron sink Fraser-Monroe, and Schubert, a luminous neoclassical reflection on the life of a ballerina and the central role women play in the evolution of the art form, created by esteemed Canadian choreographer John Alleyne. The 2025/26 season is presented by the Thomas Alan Budd Foundation. Tickets and information at balletkelowna.ca
