MY HOUSE is a world premiere work by queer, Canadian-Filipinx choreographer Ralph Escamillan, created under his company FakeKnot, celebrating Ballroom culture and the familial bonds embedded within the structure of a HOUSE. The piece features Escamillan alongside performers Brian Mendez, Jocelyne Cajamarca, and Matthew 'Snoopy' Cuff, with DJ Simone Chnarakis and commentator Max Morales. Bringing the Ball from the runway to the stage, the work uses Ballroom's collective fantasy-building, music, and movement rooted in the traditions of Black, Latinx, Trans, and Queer communities. A post-show artist talkback will take place on June 20, and the production is presented in partnership with Queer Arts Festival.
