The Dance Centre's Discover Dance! noon series features tap star Danny Nielsen in excerpts from In Conversation, a collaboration with pianist/percussionist Kristian Alexandrov that premiered to sold-out houses and critical acclaim in 2024. The work explores the symbiotic relationship between tap and jazz, and also features Miles Hill on bass, with lighting designs by Jack Chipman. Nielsen, one of Canada's leading tap dancers, has performed and taught at national and international festivals worldwide, with credits including Radical System Art's Telemetry and his own production On Foot.
