The Dance Centre's Discover Dance! noon series features tap star Danny Nielsen in a program of excerpts from In Conversation, his collaboration with pianist/percussionist Kristian Alexandrov. The work, which premiered to sold-out houses and critical acclaim in 2024, explores the symbiotic relationship between tap and jazz, and also features Miles Hill on bass, with lighting designs by Jack Chipman. Nielsen, one of Canada's leading tap dancers, has taught and performed at national and international tap festivals worldwide, with performance credits including Radical System Art's Telemetry and Derick Grant's What is This Thing Called Love?
