Escucha: The Doo Wop Project lanza su nuevo álbum 'Echoes Of The Street'

The Doo Wop Project, compuesto por los veteranos de Broadway Charl Brown, Dwayne Cooper, John Dias, Russell Fischer & Dominic Nolfi, ha lanzado su nuevo álbum completo, Echoes of the Street. Échale un vistazo a continuación.

Echoes of the Street marca el quinto lanzamiento completo del grupo y rinde homenaje a las raíces del doo wop mientras reimagina clásicos modernos para una nueva era. Producido por Sonny Paladino para Joy Machine Records, el quinteto grabó 12 pistas para Echoes of the Street, que abarcan clásicos de R&B, éxitos pop y favoritos del teatro musical.

En el álbum, los vocalistas interpretan una gama de temas desde "My Girl" de The Temptations hasta "Get Lucky" [feat. Pharrell Williams & Nile Rodgers] de Daft Punk. Otras pistas incluyen "Somewhere" de West Side Story y "Shake It Off" de Taylor Swift. El álbum también presenta su primera canción original, "Ooh Whee (That Doo Wop Song)", escrita por el compositor Elliot Lurie, líder de Looking Glass y autor del éxito "Brandy (You’re a Fine Girl)."

"Elliot nos dijo que pasa una hora al día escuchando música nueva en Spotify y nos encontró allí," dice el director musical y productor Sonny Paladino. "Le encantó nuestro enfoque fresco sobre un sonido nostálgico y supo que tenía la canción perfecta para nosotros. Nos la envió, hicimos algunos ajustes en el arreglo para adaptarla a nuestras voces, y con un poco de ida y vuelta, estamos realmente felices con cómo resultó la colaboración."

Para celebrar el lanzamiento, The Doo Wop Project encabezó recientemente un espectáculo especial de lanzamiento de álbum en Sony Hall en la ciudad de Nueva York el 7 de octubre, con una noche llena de clásicos y actuaciones debut del nuevo disco. Durante el resto de 2025, entretendrán al público en la carretera con un nuevo espectáculo de 90 minutos, también llamado Echoes of The Street, en toda Norteamérica este mes, seguido por fechas en octubre y más allá.
