d:mic/fac 2015 features some of Canada’s most inventive contemporary dance artists (and 6 world premieres) in three MainStage series: Lina Cruz (Montreal), Troy Emery Twigg (Alberta), Marie France Forcier (Toronto), Kate Hilliard (Toronto), Jacob Niedzwiecki (Toronto), Andrew Tay (Montreal) and Throwdown Collective (Toronto). The What You See Is What You Get program also features cutting-edge choreographers: Toronto’s Susie Burpee, Benjamin Landsberg and Alysa Pires as well as Louise Moyes (St. John’s) and Parts+Labour_Danse (Montreal). Rounding out the festival are Arts Encounters, including a visual arts exhibit of the photography of Brianna Lombardo (Montreal) and Andréa de Keijzer (Montreal), dance film screenings, a QLab software workshop by Debashis Sinha (Toronto) and an Intensive Rep with celebrated choreographers.
