Factory Theatre presents YOU CAN'T GET THERE FROM HERE, VOL. 3: A NIGHTMARE ON BATHURST STREET returning by popular demand with its 3rd volume of new audio dramas. This season of YOU CAN'T GET THERE FROM HERE will feature four commissioned audio experiences from award-winning Canadian playwrights Monica Garrido, Catherine Hernandez, Elvira Kurt, and Aurora Stewart de Peña.
Following the announcement earlier this year that Obsidian Theatre was launching a vital new training and mentorship program supporting Black theatre creators –YOUNG, GIFTED & BLACK (YGB)– the company is thrilled to unveil the inaugural cohort for the program, which has recently gotten underway and will continue through to September 2023.
Keith Barker will be joining the Stratford Festival as the Director of the Foerster Bernstein New Play Development Program, as Bob White steps back from the position later this month.
Featuring ten world premieres, one Toronto premiere, one live audio drama, and a rebroadcast of an audience favourite from last year, this hybrid season consisting of both digital and in person shows, is filled to the brim with brand new and reimagined Canadian stories that are sure to shift and shape audiences' perspectives on how we view the world around us.
