Dirty Dancing: The Musical, a new stage production based on the beloved 1987 film, runs at the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre from November 24, 2026 through January 3, 2027. Set in the summer of 1963, the story follows Frances "Baby" Houseman as she discovers love and independence through her relationship with dance instructor Johnny Castle. The production is directed by Lonny Price, who appeared in the original film, with choreography by Darrell Grand Moultrie, and features a book by Eleanor Bergstein, the screenwriter of the original film. Costume design is by two-time Tony Award winner Linda Cho, with sound design by Tony Award winner Kai Harada.
