Apple TV+ announced that 'Schmigadoon!,' the six-episode musical comedy series executive produced by Lorne Michaels, will make its global debut on Friday, July 16.

While 'Schmigadoon!' star Aaron Tveit worked his way to Broadway stardom, he missed his opportunity to audition for 'American Idol.' Instead, Kelly gives him a chance to audition for 'The Voice' right on her show, and spoiler alert, she hits her button.

The Golden Age will be back this summer! Apple TV+ announced that  “Schmigadoon!,” the six-episode musical comedy series will make its global debut on Friday, July 16. Two episodes will be available at launch followed by one episode weekly every Friday.  

Learn about 'Schmigadoon!,' a parody of iconic musicals, stars Strong and Key as a couple on a backpacking trip designed to reinvigorate their relationship when they discover a magical town in which everyone is living in a studio musical from the 1940s. They then discover that they can't leave until they find 'true love.'

Cecily Strong is set to star in a musical comedy product from Lorne Michaels' Broadway Video, Despicable Me duo Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio, and Universal TV, according to Deadline. Apple is in final negotiations for the series.
