Wiltshire Creative has announced the full cast and creative team for their flagship summer production The Tempest. Much of the cast have roots in Salisbury or have previously performed in Wiltshire Creative productions and are returning for this bespoke, community focused project.

Talawa Unveils Plans For New Hub

Talawa Theatre Company is to take up residence within the redeveloped Fairfield Halls in Croydon, giving the UK's primary Black theatre company a 200 seat studio and offices. This will be the first time since 1995 that Talawa's headquarters will feature an on-site performance space. The new spaces, opening to the public on 16 September 2019, will operate as a central hub for Black artists, develop a community outreach programme, and allow the company to create, develop and premiere new work.

Frantic Assembly, the award-winning London-based theater company, comes to New York City for two weekend workshops September 22-30th. Frantic Assembly won a Tony Award Best Choreography for The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (West End, Broadway, UK & Ireland Tour, US tour). Frantic Assembly's physical theatre and devising workshops in New York City and Los Angeles are sponsored and hosted by Janice Orlandi, Artistic Director of Actors Movement Studio, a 45 year-old New York City conservatory dedicated to training actors in physical technique and movement. One and Two Day Workshops will be taught by Frantic Assembly practitioner Amelia Cardwell and will be held on September 22 and 23rd and September 29th and 30th at Pearl Studios 500 8th Avenue, midtown Manhattan.

Initial casting is today announced for the world premiere of Dark Tourism at Park Theatre (PARK90), from 29th September - 24th October, the debut play by Daniel Dingsdale. Amongst the cast are Tamaryn Payne and Jill Winternitz. Directed by Adam Lenson, this brand new play is a biting cultural satire on media cynicism and the world of celebrity, where one can go from nothing to everything and back again in the space of a YouTube video. Press Night is Thursday 1st October, 7pm.

They are Stephanie Amies & Teddy Clements, Nick Barstow, Tim Connor, Ben Frost & Richard Hough, Tim Gilvin and John Kristian. The evening will be hosted by award-winning writing partnership George Stiles and Anthony Drewe and will take place on 19th April 2015 at the St James Studio. The cast for the concert will feature a number of West End stars, led by Emma Williams and Aaron Sidwell.
