Thornton Wilder’s iconic, Pulitzer Prize-winning play is reimagined for the 21st century. With new layers of language and culture, Our Town expands to encompass everyone in a quintessentially American – and human – story. Our Town explores the relationship between two young Grover’s Corners neighbors, George Gibbs and Emily Webb, whose childhood friendship blossoms into romance, and then culminates in marriage.
The play will be performed primarily in English, with brief sections spoken in Spanish and Creole, with English supertitles. Translations by Nilo Cruz and Jeff Augustin.
