Originally formed as an answer to grunge, the band has built a sound that blends numerous genres while remaining unlike any other act, with their album Showroom of Compassion debuting at #1 on the Billboard Top 200. Lead vocalist John McCrea and the band continue to release new music, including Billionaire in Space, described by McCrea as "an observation of all billionaires and the economic imbalance that we have been lulled into accepting as the norm."
