Singer, songwriter and guitarist Boz Scaggs will perform at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 8PM.

His explorations in Blues and R&B, Rock and Jazz have produced lasting work and a career that has brought with it acclaim, a loyal following, and an enduring respect among musicians. Joining Scaggs on stage is the critically-acclaimed Robert Cray Band. Robert Cray has created a sound that rises from American roots and arrives today both fresh and familiar. In just over forty years Cray and his band have recorded 20 studio releases, fifteen of which have been on the Billboard charts. In 2011 Cray was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame.

Scaggs' talents have taken him all over the world, and his influences, style and genre of music have evolved and merged over the years. One of his first big albums was Boz Scaggsproduced by friend and Rolling Stone founder, Jann Wenner, with the memorable track "Loan Me a Dime." His multi-platinum 1975 release Silk Degrees featured hits such as "Lowdown," (which won the Grammy Award® for Best R&B Song,) "Lido Shuffle," "What Can I Say," and the ballad "We're All Alone," (which became a worldwide hit for Rita Coolidge.) On his latest spellbinding album A Fool to Care Scaggs remarks "I'm at a point where I'm having a lot of fun with music, more than ever."

Tickets are $26-$86 available for purchase at VanWezel.org, the Box Office, or by calling 941-953-3368.
