Swing Dance Orchestra
Big Band Matinee
Andrej Hermlin, conductor
Dan Levinson, clarinet
Roland Neffe, vibraphone
On 16 January 1938 Benny Goodman played in the concert of his life - his orchestra performed in the time-honored New York's Carnegie Hall. It was the first engagement of a jazz band in a classical concert hall and later became a sensation. Andrej Hermlin brings back to live this famous concert through his musicians live on stage. Guest clarinetist Dan Levinson is the star of New York and Roland Neffe can be heard on the vibes. This will most certainly be a unique concert experience.
