About the program

Nazareth University's Theatre and Dance Department delivers hands-on, pre-professional training from your first semester. Choose from five majors: Theatre Arts (B.A.), Acting for Stage & Screen (BFA), Musical Theatre (BFA), Theatre Design & Technology (BFA), and Dance Studies (B.S.) You can add a minor in business, music, or education. Collaborations with regional theaters, productions in Nazareth's Arts Center on campus, and courses with faculty and visiting artists give you industry-level training. Study abroad options, including in London's West End, extend that training internationally. Coursework spans technical and design work, acting, and directing, taught by Nazareth faculty and guest artists, and grounds students in the history and philosophy behind theatrical works alongside the practical skills to analyze and produce plays.
