Music and lyrics by Christopher Curtis; book by Christopher Curtis and Thomas Meehan.The musical tells the story of a young Charlie Chaplin growing up and how he became his famous "little tramp." The first act is devoted to the issues of growing and becoming a man who realizes that he wants to be in the filming industry, which was at the very beginning of its ascent. A second act tells how he got into the world of cinema, which was then very similar to classical theater with its constant exaggerations in facial expressions, movements, makeup, and even in the manner of the play and how he tried to change it.Presented by the Nazareth College Theatre and Dance DepartmentPerformancesThursday, April 16 at 7:30 p.m.Friday, April 17 at 7:30 p.m.Saturday, April 18 at 7:30 p.m.Sunday, April 19 at 2 p.m.

March 04, 2020 CHAPLIN, the musical based on the life of silent film star Charlie Chaplin, is getting an update! Creators Christopher Curtis and Thomas Meehan reworked Chaplin as it toured seven countries around the world starting in 2015 before Meehan's passing in 2017.About the Theatre
