Albion Theatre St. Louis presents “The Beauty Queen of Leenane” by Oscar, Golden Globe and Olivier winner, Martin McDonagh. Set in a small town in County Galway, Ireland, it is a chillingly dark comic tale of Maureen, a lonely woman in her early 40s, and Mag, her manipulative aging mother. Mag’s interference in Maureen’s first and possibly final chance of a loving relationship sets in motion a train of events that leads inexorably towards the play’s terrifying denouement. Directed by Robert Ashton, the cast features Teresa Doggett, Heather Matthews, Austin Cochran and Jason Meyers. More details at www.albiontheatrestl.org.
